Team Roles and Responsibilities

The following web page describes the different team roles and responsibilities of each role. These roles are specifically based on the running of the website and may differ to that of how the business is run overall.

Managing Editor

The managing editor is responsible for the overall running of the website based on financial and business related issues. These issues include expenses, internal disputes, relations with affiliate sponsors and major decisions in the running of the website. This role is accountable for the smooth operation of the website as a business and ensuring that the best practices are used where possible. This role is able to sign off on work and expenses from editors and advertising for the website. 

This role is supervised by the Editor-In-Chief which includes signing off for expenses and other materials.

Editor-In-Chief

The editor-in-chief is responsible for the content and marketing of material and services that the website offers. This includes a shared responsibility for the running of the website and certain segments of the business itself. The role is accountable for all the content and services offered by the editors on both the website and for affiliate sponsors. This role is able to sign off on work and expenses from editors and advertising for the website. 

This role is supervised by the Managing Editor which includes signing off for expenses and other materials.

Editor

The editor is responsible for writing the content and offering the services of the website to affiliate sponsors. The content includes, reviews, guides, pictures, marketing material and video. All content must be reviewed by another editor prior to publication as to avoid human error. The role is accountable for their own content and services offered and are partially accountable for their reviewed content.

This role is supervised by the Editor-In-Chief (Managing Editor is a secondary line manager)

Marketing Manager

The marketing manager is responsible for the social media representation of the website and its content. This includes posting and maintaining the communities that like, follow and subscribe to the streams. This role supports the editors when it comes to advertising content that they create and manages any paid content from affiliate sponsors. The role is accountable for the performance and presentation of all social media streams belonging to the website.

This role is supervised by the Editor-In-Chief (Managing Editor is a secondary line manager)
